Individual Therapy

I am not accepting new clients for individual therapy at this time

How we move through the world, experience pain, and make important choices is impacted by our learning history, relationships, biology, and environments. My aim is to support you in acknowledging and honoring the layers of influence in your life, as we work together to move toward the life you want to live. I view therapy as a partnership in which we bring our unique expertise together with common goals in mind (you are the expert in your own life!).

I am an intersectional community psychologist, meaning I use an overarching  trauma-informed anti-oppression  approach, and ground my interventions in the evidence-based science of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have worked in community settings throughout my career, and incorporate an understanding of systemic oppression and community healing into therapy.

I have supported past clients with:

  • Intergenerational trauma healing

  • Identity changes or restructuring a meaningful life

  • Specific trauma from interpersonal violence

  • Difficulty with obtaining quality sleep and other health-related needs

  • Managing chronic illness

  • Struggling with motivation or overwhelming anxiety in the face of world events

I especially enjoy working with individuals who are engaging in therapy for the first time. I would love to help you start your healing journey!

Currently, all therapy services are online only. I use a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform that is easy to use from a phone, tablet, or computer. I ask that you commit to being in a private and quiet space when we meet, and I will do the same.

Our first step is to meet for a free 15-20 minute initial phone call for you to ask questions and share what you are looking for in therapy. If for any reason we agree that we may not be a great fit, I’ll provide you with resources and direction to find the right fit with someone else.

Cost of therapy

I value providing affordable, high-quality health care. I am committed to offering care through insurance, working with community-based funders, and offering reduced rates when possible.

Currently, I am able to take the following insurance:

  • Aetna

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield Colorado

  • Cigna

  • United Healthcare

  • Oxford

  • Oscar Health

Without insurance:

  • Intake Appointment (90 minutes) - $260

  • Standard therapy session (50 minutes) - $175

Please ask about the availability of reduced rates, as I cannot always guarantee I will have openings. We will discuss what you are currently able to pay given household income, persons supported, and necessary expenses. I am able to offer reduced rates of $100, and $50, and in rare cases (such as asylum-seekers),

at no cost.
